The SONICA TRENDMATIC is a multi-functional ultrasonic system that enables an entire ultrasonic cleaning cycle to be automated.
All TRENDMATIC models have a washing phase with automatic detergent dosing, a rinsing phase and a drying phase. All versions are equipped with features designed to facilitate process management and quality assurance, from logs to safety locks and alarms.
- TRENDMATIC 9 - This version is designed for washing small objects including surgical instruments, but does not include a thermo-disinfection step.
- TRENDMATIC 9 TD - This version is designed for washing small objects including surgical instruments, and includes a thermo-disinfection step at a high temperature (93°C).
- TRENDMATIC 18 - This version is designed for washing larger quantities of small or medium-sized objects. It is also better suited to industrial applications in the mechanical or electronic sectors. As well as featuring full-cycle functions, it can also be used as a simple ultrasonic tank, enabling savings of both time and detergent, as well as the option of half-load operation.
How they work
This innovative system has a useful capacity of 6.5 litres, and is
ideal for treating surgical instruments prior to autoclave
sterilisation.
The equipment features a touch screen to control
all the automatic cycle functions of the system, from the ultrasonic
washing parameters to the activation of the spray nozzle rinsing
system, the thermo-disinfection and the drying process.
But now
let's take a closer look at the TRENDMATIC TD operating cycle.
First phase. Loading and washing
The system loads clean water into the tank and automatically doses the
detergent.
The heating device inside the tank quickly brings the
solution to the desired temperature, then launches the ultrasonic
cleaning.
Phase 2: Unloading:
Once the ultrasonic cleaning phase is complete, the system drains the liquid in less than 1 minute, via a pump.
Phase 3: Multiple automatic rinses
A real innovation patented by Soltec. These rinses are carried out with
dynamic water movement, in order to ensure that all contaminant
residues and detergent surfactants are fully removed. The anionic
surfactant residue is below the quantitative analytical detection
limit.
The SONICA TRENDMATIC TD performs between 1 and 5 clean
water rinses, thus removing any remaining detergent residue from the
surface of the surgical instruments.
Phase 4: Thermo-disinfection at 93°C for three minutes
Courtesy of its special thermo-disinfection cycle, which runs at 93°C for three minutes, plus the simultaneous “TermoDry” drying system - another patented Soltec solution - the SONICA TRENDMATIC TD guarantees a thermo-disinfection cycle with an A0 value of no less than 3500.
Phase 5: Final airing
Finally, the system removes moisture from the washing tank and cools the instruments at the end of the cycle.
The SONICA TRENDMATIC TD offers a number of key advantages over other conventional systems on the market today:
It is completely AUTOMATIC.
- It cleans.
- It decontaminates.
- It rinses.
- It thermo-disinfects.
- It dries the surgical instruments.
- It saves the LOGS on an external USB drive, ensuring the traceability of the entire process.
- All in a single device.
SONICA TRENDMATIC is SAFE:
Each of the phases is performed with clean water - avoiding any
possible contamination.
It strictly adheres to all steps of the
surgical instrument treatment protocol before sterilisation.
It
reduces the occupational risk when handling infected instruments and on
insertion of a password by the care manager, disables access to the
settings functions.
SONICA TRENDMATIC is EFFICIENT:
It guarantees superior results, courtesy of the ultrasonic waves and
“Sweep System Technology”.
Furthermore, after just
two rinses, the anionic surfactants residue is below the quantitative
analytical detection limit.
SONICA TRENDMATIC is ECONOMICAL
It reduces overall management time and costs.
Only 60 ml of
detergent is used for each wash cycle.

thermo-disinfection cycle.
Now fully automatic.
