Photografical comparison between ink with sonication and stirring

This article describes an effective method for preparing catalytic inks in hydroalcoholic solutions using an ultrasonic bath (SONICA 3200 EP) to coat glassy carbon rotating disk electrodes for electrochemical measurements.
The Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Padua conducted a comparative study between sonication and magnetic stirring, highlighting how ultrasound significantly improves the homogeneity and stability of the catalytic ink.
The results demonstrate that sonication enables the production of more uniform and reproducible dispersions, which are essential for ensuring reliable electrochemical measurements.
